Recurrent meetings will need to be reset up with a new Microsoft Teams calendar invite.

Schedule a Teams meeting through Microsoft Outlook
- From Outlook, click the Calendar icon and then click New Meeting.
- Click the Teams Meeting icon on the Meeting ribbon.
- The link attendees will use to join the meeting will appear in the body of the email:
Note: If your Teams account is licensed to use a dial-in number, the Teams meeting will automatically include a telephone number and Conference ID.
- Add your attendees, meeting details, or attachments and then click Send.
- At the designated times, recipients of the meeting will click the link to join the meeting.
Note: External recipients can use the web version of Teams to connect to the meeting.
Schedule a Teams meeting through the Teams app
There are several ways to schedule a meeting in Teams:
Select Schedule a meeting in a chat (below the box where you type a new message) to book a meeting with the people in the chat.
Go to Calendar on the left side of the app and select New meeting in the top right corner.
Select a range of time in the calendar. A scheduling form will pop open.
The scheduling form is where you'll give your meeting a title, invite people, and add meeting details. Use the Scheduling Assistant to find a time that works for everyone. You can also add external emails to this so they can join in.
Once you're done filling out the details, select Save. This will close the scheduling form and send an invite to everyone's Outlook inbox.
Make it a channel meeting
Select New meeting.
Type the name of one or more channels where it says Add channel (under the time and date fields).
Channels can't be edited or added once the invite is sent. You'll need to send a new invite with the updated channels.
Note: When you have a meeting in a channel, everyone in the team will be able to see it and join it in that channel.
Once you've added the people you want, select Scheduling Assistant to find the best time.
If it's a recurring meeting, open the drop-down menu next to Does not repeat (just below the date). Choose how often you want it to occur from the default options, or select Custom to create your own cadence
Joining a meeting
Join by link
All you need to join a Teams meeting is a link.
Select Join Microsoft Teams Meeting in your meeting invite to be taken to a page where you can choose to either join on the web or download the desktop app.
If you don’t have a Teams account and the organizer has allowed it, you may have the option to enter your name to join the meeting as a guest, you may join the meeting right away or go to the lobby where people in the meeting can admit you.
Join from a Dial-in Number
Designated Jet Linx Team Members are subscribed to Teams Dial-In Conferencing feature.
If the meeting invite includes a dial-in number, you can call into the meeting by dialing the telephone number provided in the meeting invite. You will be prompted to enter the Conference ID number, which is also provided in the meeting invite.
Note: A PIN is only required for the meeting organizer when a Microsoft Teams user hasn't already started the meeting. If everyone is dialing in to the meeting, then the PIN is required for the meeting organizer to start the meeting.
Join from calendar
Select Calendar on the left side of the app to see your meetings. Find the meeting you want, and then select Join.
Join in a channel
If a meeting takes place in a channel, you’ll see an invitation to join, relevant content, and who’s in the meeting right in the channel. Just select Join.
Join from chat
If the meeting has already begun, it appears in your recent chat list. Select the meeting in your chat list and then select Join at the top of the chat.
Share content in a meeting in Teams
To share your screen in a meeting, select Share in your meeting controls. Then, choose to present your entire desktop, a window, a PowerPoint file, or a whiteboard.

Show just one window, and no notifications or other desktop activity
You only need to show one thing and want to keep the rest of your screen to yourself
When you're done sharing, go to your meeting controls and select Stop sharing.
Note: If you're using a Mac, you'll be prompted to change your privacy settings before you're able to share your screen. Also, window sharing isn't available for Linux users.
Give and take control of shared content
On the sharing toolbar, select Give control.
Select the name of the person you want to give control to.
Teams sends a notification to that person to let them know you’re sharing control. While you’re sharing control, they can make selections, edits, and other modifications to the shared screen.
To take control back, select Take back control.
To take control while another person is sharing, select Request control. Then, the person sharing will approve or deny your request.
While you have control, you can make selections, edits, and other modifications to the shared screen.
When you’re done, select Release control to stop sharing control.
Teams Ongoing Conference Call
The Teams application only allows each team member to be in one voice meeting at a time. However, team members can be in two different meetings if they are logged into two devices, such as the desktop application and an iPad or mobile device.
Use these procedures to establish a daily, on-going conference call with your team members:
- Open Outlook and then select the Calendar.
- Select a time to establish the meeting. I suggest using 7:00-7:30 am. Note: A Teams conference call can be joined at any time throughout the day.
- Click the New Teams Meeting button from the ribbon.
- Specify the following meetings parameters:
- Title: Provide a title that indicates this is the Daily Ongoing Conference Call.
- Show As: Free
- Recurrence: Every 1 Day. Choose No End Date
- Scheduling Assistant: Add all the members of your Team.
- Send the meeting.
- Log into your Teams account on your iPad or mobile device.
- Tap the Calendar icon and choose the On-going Conference meeting.
- Tab the Join button.
- Enable the video, mic, or speaker and then tap Join Now.
